Mesaiyete 3rd October 2020

Oluwatope! Hmmmmm words are insufficient to express the pain, anguish and grief that we feel right now. It’s like a horrible nightmare that we just want to wake up from. ….it’s really hard! A million questions in our heads and on our lips but no response has really taken the shock and pain away. We screamed, yelled, cried, prayed loudly and quietly hoping that you would hear us and come back to the love that we all have for you but you haven’t. Tope! How did we go from joyfully and jointly planning a wedding to sorrowfully and jointly planning your final events? How? Tope, we are dazed and in great pain. You became a part of our lives as you and Akin’s love blossomed. A breath of freshness, love, support with great family values in this small but mighty frame. We were so glad. Our sweet Tope, omo da da, omo gidi! We were so looking forward to formally welcome you into the fold as a daughter, our baby sister and aunty to nieces and nephews. Every one of us loves you. You were easy to love. Beautiful, smart, respectful, purpose driven, involved yet not intrusive. Ah! Oluwatope, the pain is real and can not be disguised no matter how much we try. Thank you for showing Akin what true love is. He loves you so much that his older niece and nephews teased about how he lit up and even blushed when they talked about you. Thank you for loving and inspiring him to be a better version of himself. Thank you for making the effort to blend in seamlessly. We love you so much and we shall never forget you nor shall we break link with your family because your love has bound us together with cords that can not be broken. Darling Tope! Oluwatope wa! It’s really hard but in Christ alone our hope is found. He is our strength, our song and comforter and so we choose to thank Him for letting us have you for this really short period. They say it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. We are glad that we got to love you and you, us. Sleep well sweetheart. We love you ! Your Mesaiyete Family
