Topsy, it is beyond imaging that you are no longer with us. Although time and distance got in the way of an old friendship, I always had the comforting thought in the back of my mind that you would be always there - popping back to London looking as glam as ever and regaling us with your stories. Clearly something I took for granted because you are now gone far too soon and it feels so unfair when you deserved every joy from life. When I told someone that you passed, they described you as indomitable - you were a presence that couldn't be ignored and you brought happiness to those around you. Always prioritising your loved ones and dolling out sensible advice. At Exeter it was your eloquence and strong sense of self that drew my attention, but friendship is built on so much more and I will always be grateful for the memories we created with Rhi and Caty. Thank you for not judging too harshly my love of korma (and fear of spice) and predilection for heavy rock music. I'm heartbroken that you are gone but send you on your way with all my love, and the knowledge you will always be in my thoughts.x
